An Albanian citizen has been arrested by Greek police after a series of thefts. He is a 44-year-old Albanian who lived in the Istiaia area in northern Evian.

On Thursday, he stole a car from the yard of a house in Edipsos and then drove to Fthiotida. The next day, the 44-year-old was found in Nea Anhialos, where he forced his way into the home of a teacher. He stole jewelry, watches, a laptop, a tablet and many other items.

Unfortunately for him, the teacher, who was the victim of the theft, saw his trail in Glyfa, Phthiotis, through the tracking application on his tablet.

The Stilda Police Station was immediately notified, and its police officers went to Glyfa, where they managed to find the tablet and other stolen items inside the 44-year-old Albanian's car, which, as the investigation that followed revealed, was also stolen.

At the time of the arrest, the perpetrator was enjoying the beach and attempted to escape.

However, the police quickly handcuffed him, and as it turned out, he had entered Greece illegally since 2021 and had not received a residence permit to date.
