The Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party, Belind Këlliçi, has reacted with strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, commenting on the recent allegations of international arms trafficking and the denunciations of former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj.
Through a reaction, Këlliçi accuses Rama of, according to him, setting up a scheme that aims to profit from arms trafficking and manipulate international partners.
"Edi Rama's diabolical plan envisages not only making Albania a spoil by dividing it among friends, not only making money with international arms trafficking, but also deceiving partners, led by the Americans! The dirty trickster has a scheme ready to shut up the American Embassy.
We expect and demand a thorough and rapid investigation of this affair, as well as reliable information that the whistleblower Arben Ahmetaj, former Deputy Prime Minister and Rama's right-hand man, is being threatened with his life and family by thugs connected to the Ukrainian-Russian friends of the head of the Organization. We expect and urge partners to react to this serious conspiracy that also threatens their security," writes Këlliçi.
