Prince Harry has publicly praised Australia for its tough stance on underage social media use, while Meghan Markle shared her own personal experience with online abuse. Speaking to young people in Melbourne, organised by Australian mental health organisation Batyr, Harry stressed the importance of responsible decision-making, referring to Australia's new law banning social media use for children under 16. He said that despite the debate over the pros and cons, the initiative represents a strong example of leadership.

In the same conversation, Meghan Markle opened up about her personal experience, stating that for about a decade she had been the target of constant online attacks. She emphasized that the online pressure and harassment had been daily and intense.

The couple's four-day visit to Australia is focused on issues such as mental health, sport and support for veterans. It is their first major return to the country since 2018, when they announced their first pregnancy during an official visit to Sydney.

Unlike that period, this visit has had a more restrained tone and has also been accompanied by commercial engagements. Among them, Meghan participated as a guest on the famous MasterChef Australia show, while Harry held meetings with former soldiers. Meghan is also expected to organize an exclusive wellness event at a luxury hotel in Sydney, where the program includes activities such as yoga, relaxation therapy and personal development sessions, with participation starting at over $ 1,900 per person.
