Leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha said that with recent events, such as the rejection of SPAK's request to authorize the arrest of Balluk, there is a risk that the doors to the EU will be closed to Albanians.
He said that there is a risk that all agreements signed with the EU so far will be canceled.
"Edi Rama took this action, an act in extremis to save his own skin. But another major victim, if SPAK was a direct victim, another major victim of this act is every Albanian citizen, who aspires to integrate into the EU. In fact, the decisions were taken in parliament despite the most serious warning of not one, but several EU member states, that they could never agree to such a decision. And that the process of Albania's integration into the EU, not only stops, but may also disintegrate from the beginning to the end where it began.
When we say this dissolution, it means the cancellation of all agreements signed with the EU, since 1992, which is the first trade agreement.
However, among the white destiny of Albanians, integration into the EU, because let's say what it is, this word destiny takes on different interpretations, but for a people like ours, with the problems it has experienced, European integration, integration into NATO was its greatest destiny.
So Edi Rama, despite the warnings he received, despite the reactions he received, decided that before the integration process he should choose his legal shield for the thefts he has committed, so that neither he nor his close family circle will be exposed to the law. But one thing is still clear, that this whole big clash with the opposition, with international partners, is only for Edi Rama and his close family circle.
So, every Albanian pays for Rama's thefts, the people he stole with, his family, his Linda, the baxhanak and others in a row. As a way out, he has chosen to openly trample on the interests of every Albanian, integration on the basis of merit in the EU, its blockage and the demand he made with Aleksandar Vučić for a trade integration. A trade agreement with the EU, but not a package of policies and community laws, simply a partnership in trade. By pairing Albania with Serbia, Edi Rama committed one of the most savagely hostile acts against Albania and Albanians. Whatever Albania's problems may be, Albania does not have any major problems on the strategic, geostrategic and political level with the EU, which Serbia has.
Serbia, not from Albania, but from its attitudes and history, has been considered and is considered a small Russia in the Balkans. Albania has never been considered a zone of Russian influence.
The Russians are making every effort to ensure that TAP fails, that it does not pass through Albania, simply because they know that their gas cannot pass through Albania.
Serbia has major political problems to solve, relations with its neighbors, with Kosovo and Bosnia, with Republika Srpska which it has used as a colony, with major threats to unification, etc., etc.
Albania has no geopolitical problems with any of our neighbors. It only has good, normal relations in all aspects.
Serbia does not recognize the Serbian genocide in Srebrenica, declared genocide by international courts and all institutions and a condition of democratic countries to bring Serbia closer.
Albania, thanks to the strong intervention of the opposition, recently voted for the resolution condemning the Serbian genocide in Srebrenica.
So, imagine Edi Rama's attempt to whitewash Vučić's face, at a time when he is accused of being one of the participants in the human safari in Sarajevo.
Now, the laborer comes to his side and writes an open letter with him about the common fate of Albanians and Serbs, in a trade agreement with the EU, which is nothing more than the Open Balkans.
A more anti-national act than this cannot be committed.
"A truly anti-national act," he said.
