Adriana Kalaja has reacted after the Supreme Court's decision, which rejected the appeal made by former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and left the security measure "suspension from duty" in force.

Kalaja stated in the studio News24 in front of Ola Bruko that she welcomes the court's decision, but according to her, the measures against Balluk should have been harsher. She raised doubts about the progress of the investigation, saying that prosecutor Dritan Prençi should have submitted the file within April or requested an extension of the deadline. According to Kala, the case could lead to reclassification of the criminal offenses and a possible sentence of up to 35 years in prison.

"I welcome the Supreme Court's decision, I would like the measures to be more severe because opposition leaders have been arrested without being informed of the charges."

Prosecutor Dritan Prençi was supposed to submit the file within April or extend the deadline, but we have no information that this has been done.

"I have doubts that he is being amnestied because since March there has been no action to lift immunity. There will be a reclassification of criminal offenses and he risks up to 35 years in prison. The law says that the file must be closed within 6 months, whatever decision you make," the reaction says.
