ELBASAN
Today's murder in Elbasan appears to be a saga that began several years ago. Everest Çaka, also known as Ibrahim Çaka, has been accused of the murder of Gëzim Alikaj in 2010.
He was even suspected at the time of being the direct executioner, as the victim's brother had killed his brother in Spain several years earlier. Elton Hyka and Ardit Spahiu were also involved in the incident.
Meanwhile, a few months ago, Everest Çaka's cousin, Arjan (Ardit) Spahiu, was killed in Belgium with eight bullets in November 2020. Meanwhile, Arjan Spahiu appears to have family ties to another well-known criminal figure in Elbasan, Erion Alibej, who is the brother of his sister's husband.
Alibej has already been arrested as the mastermind behind several assassination attempts in Elbasan. He is suspected of organizing and ordering the murders of Emiljano Ramazan and Regis Runaj in July 2020, while there are strong suspicions that this person is also involved in the murder of Bujar Çela, Talo Çela's brother.
It doesn't stop there, as Erion Alibej's brother and uncle were executed in the "Bradashesh Massacre" in 2018, where Endrit Alibej alias Ravik Dylgjeri, Arben Dylgjeri and the Turk Erdal Durunay were killed.
In today's event, Everest Caka was executed during an assassination attempt in Elbasan, while his wife Silvana Caka was also injured.
