Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in his speech at the Western Balkans Investment Summit being held in London, stated that Kosovo is in line with the United States and England, in terms of political and business values.

Kurti said that Kosovo has a workforce, citing the average age of the population.

In the last three years, Kurti said that exports and foreign investments have doubled, but added that such investments are still needed.

In the end, Prime Minister Kurti said that the diaspora is bringing not only remittances but also the work ethic and knowledge they have.

“We have had economic development, democratic progress and institutional stability, which has helped us a lot to successfully combat security risks and also to address climate change and social inequality… We also have progress in the rule of law and advancement in political rights, civil rights and electoral democracy. This positions Kosovo in a favorable situation on the global map and we are at the heart of the connection between Europe, Africa and the Middle East. We have a workforce, the average age of Kosovo is 31 years old and we have an open market economy that creates a good environment for businesses. We are well placed for technological investments, out of 23 European countries, Kosovo comes 11th in a ranking, leaving behind all candidate countries for EU membership and one EU member.

In these three years we have doubled both exports and foreign direct investment FDI, we need more of these but we are in a good place because we already have these investments, we still need investments of this type. We are dedicated to the rule of law and the fight against corruption in line with America and England, both in political and business values, especially after the Russian aggression in Ukraine which has recently turned two years old.

And an additional element that we have worked hard on is to connect the labor market with vocational education so that we have people with the right skills, with every diploma awarded in our schools providing a job.

"We have launched this project in 14 municipalities, 21 schools, 12 different profiles, and we have learned this from our strong diaspora, especially in Germany and Switzerland, who are bringing us not only remittances but also their work ethic and knowledge," Kurti said.
