The White House has published a video on the social platform X, where US President Donald Trump speaks about the progress of the NATO Summit held in Turkey, evaluating it as an extraordinary success and emphasizing the leading role of the US in the international arena.
In his message, the head of the White House expressed high praise for the summit's host, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as for the alliance's Secretary General, Mark Rutte.
"We just finished a very successful NATO Summit here in Turkey, and I want to thank President Erdogan, who is truly a great man. He is a great leader. I also want to thank NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Mark is an extraordinary person, a smart person and a great leader. It is not easy to lead so many leaders," Trump is heard saying in the video.
The US president further announced that during his stay at the summit he had held intensive talks with several world leaders. Among them, he highlighted bilateral meetings with President Erdogan, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa.
According to Trump, the common impression in all these meetings was clear and related to the current position of the US. He underlined that in every conversation it was noted that "America is back" and that it is now "stronger, bigger and better than ever before".
At the end of the video message, the US president expressed optimism about the spirit that characterized the high-level meetings between the allies. "This was an extremely successful summit. I just want to say that there was a tremendous sense of friendship and goodwill in that room," Trump concluded.
