Former Socialist Party MP Petro Koçi has commented on recent developments regarding the seizure of assets linked to the AKSHI group, describing them as positive news for society and the state.

Invited to the lunch program at News24, Koçi stated that deepening investigations and uncovering abusive cases is an important step towards strengthening justice and institutions.

"The kidnappings are good news, because the more the investigations deepen and the evil is revealed, the better it is for society. This creates opportunities for cleaning up the administration and increases the morale and integrity of the state," he declared.

Koçi also praised the work of SPAK, emphasizing that the institution should be congratulated for the results achieved so far in the fight against corruption and organized crime.

According to him, politics should be in support of justice, while these actions also constitute a discouraging signal to the criminal world, regardless of the affiliations or specific names involved.

"The truth must be respected and the punishment of evil must be done beyond names," he said.

Asked about the European integration process, Koçi stressed that there is a need for more transparency, especially on issues related to public-private partnerships and the status of strategic investors.

"The process has gone responsibly well so far. There is no official announcement of any integration setbacks, but more transparency is required in several key sectors," he concluded.
