The collapse of rock and soil masses has once again caused problems on the Librazhd-Hotolisht national road axis, during the last night.

The incident occurred around midnight, near a complex, about 2 kilometers from the center of the village of Hotolisht. Masses of rocks and soil were detached from the height of the hill, which ended up on the route of the national road.

A significant amount of rocks covered the road, obstructing vehicle traffic. Fortunately, at the time of the landslide, there were no vehicles passing through this segment, avoiding another serious incident.

For about half an hour, this road segment remained blocked. Dozens of people who were in one of the premises of the complex near the area where the landslide occurred gathered at the scene and alerted the authorities about the incident.

Police and civil emergency structures have arrived on site and have taken the necessary measures to manage the situation and normalize traffic.

This road axis has previously faced similar problems due to steep terrain and rock slides. Just a few weeks ago, in the same area, a rock fall on a vehicle killed a 42-year-old man from Gjergjan, Elbasan.

Frequent rock and soil falls in this segment remain a serious concern for the safety of drivers and residents moving along the Librazhd-Hotolisht axis.
