Apple has announced a million dollar challenge to test their new AI security system, marking a new step towards safe and innovative technology for iPhone users.

Apple is significantly increasing the security for the new artificial intelligence, Apple Intelligence, offering a reward of one million dollars to anyone who manages to crack the security system, reports the Telegraph.

The tech giant made the announcement on Thursday, inviting "any security researcher or anyone with a technical interest and curiosity" to test its AI technology and conduct their own independent verification of Apple's claims.

The award focuses on Apple's Private Cloud Compute (PCC) infrastructure, designed to handle complex AI tasks beyond on-device capabilities.

Designed with end-to-end encryption, PCC deletes user requests immediately upon completion to preserve privacy.

Until now, Apple has limited access to PCC for third-party auditors, but the invitation in question opens the platform for a wider review, with the aim of assessing the robustness of its security.

To encourage comprehensive PCC testing, Apple has expanded its Security Bounty program.
