Vladimir Tkachuk, executive director of the Russian company Uraldronzavod, known for producing Upyr drones, was seriously injured after the vehicle he was traveling in exploded.
According to Russian Emergency Services, quoted by the state agency TASS, Tkachuk is in intensive care in critical condition, while doctors are fighting to save his life.
The incident took place near the city of Yekaterinburg. So far, authorities have not provided details on the causes of the explosion, nor have they confirmed whether it was an organized attack or another incident.
Investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
