A 70-year-old man from Lushnja was saved from drowning on Seman beach, thanks to the timely intervention of the coast guard.
The elderly man was on the beach with his family when he was spotted by two beach watchers as he repeatedly went out and dived into the water.
The coastguards intervened immediately, following the first aid protocol step by step. After their intervention, the vacationer's breathing was stabilized.
A few minutes later, the 70-year-old was transported by ambulance to Fier Hospital, where he received the necessary medical assistance.
According to information, after treatment in the hospital, the elderly man has passed the risk to his life and is out of danger.
