In an analysis of the political situation and the situation of the institutions in the country, publicist Kim Mehmeti, invited to the show "Minuta e perë" opposite journalist Ola Bruko on News24, has denounced the destruction of the rule of law and the return of Albania to the private property of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Mehmeti expressed surprise at society's patience in the face of autocracy, describing the current situation as an open contempt that a single person shows to the entire people.

During his speech, the publicist targeted the lack of reaction from Albanian social elites, who were supposed to lead citizens in confronting the regime. Mehmeti underlined that this silence comes as a result of the financial capture of these groups by the central government, emphasizing that when a society does not have elites who see beyond material interest and who have connected "brains with pockets", then the dictatorship finds free ground to consolidate.

Mehmeti further stated that the prime minister has finally handed over the country to the so-called alliance of scoundrels. According to the publicist, the prime minister himself has admitted his failure by publicly declaring the state as poor, in order to justify the sale of national assets and the alienation of public assets to private interests that keep this system afloat.
