The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, also a candidate on the open list of the Socialist Party in Tirana, spoke during an interview on "Open" in News24 that the current campaign should be a fair and coordinated competition within the ranks of the SP, avoiding divisions and uncontrolled actions.

Commenting on the potential risks posed by open-list competition, Gonxha emphasized the importance of ethics among candidates:
"Each city has its own pulse and electoral culture. In Unit 6 where I am the political leader, every candidate is free to seek support, but the rules are clear: without coordination with the political leader, no major electoral organizations can be held."

He noted that it is not acceptable for official structures to be used for personal purposes that create chaos in the campaign:

"It is not correct and it is not right to use party structures to create chaos. Meetings with young people, citizens outside the structures, are welcome, but without coordination with the units and without crossing red lines."

Gonxha appealed for a spirit of cooperation and respect within the SP campaign, emphasizing that the common goal must remain gaining the trust of citizens and deepening improvements in the country.
