Professor Dr. Titi Tamburi has passed away. Tamburi was born on December 2, 1944 in Përmet into a patriotic family. He played an important role and left his mark in medicine.

He grew up and was educated in Tirana where he practiced his profession as a neurologist and university lecturer.

His hard work, love for people, and his noble, selfless spirit quickly made him a well-known name in Tirana and throughout Albania.

He never knew how to say no to anyone who asked for his help. Titus was a devoted son, a good companion, a dear friend, a faithful husband, and an exemplary father.

His great name, reputation, outstanding achievements and successes in specializations in the best clinics in the world from France to Switzerland, Vienna, Italy to America, his positions as Head and Creator of the First Resuscitation in Albania for many years, and then Consultant Neurologist of the University Hospital, did not change him.

He remained the same Dr. Titi, simple, loving, noble and caring towards everyone. In Canada, he worked with PhD students in psychology at the University of Windsor as a Professor of Postgraduate Courses in Neuropathology and Neurological Diagnosis, Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology and Neurobiochemistry since 2000 and onwards.

From 2005 to early 2025, he taught Pathophysiology, Anatomy, and Physiology at the University of Michigan, USA.

His health problems severely limited his life-loving temperament.

He lost his fight for life on February 12, 2026 at 8 a.m. He left with a heart filled with love for his Albania (both within and outside its borders), as well as for all those who loved him.

He leaves behind the woman of his life, with whom he remained forever in love, as well as three intellectual and patriotic children, Jonia, Andia and Arti Tamburi. May his memory be eternal!
