The Ministry of Defense announces that as of 14:00 PM on August 12, 9 fires remain active in the districts of Tirana, Fier, Durrës, Gjirokastër, Dibër and Korçë.

Civil Defense structures, the Armed Forces, fire services, the Police, the Forest Service and volunteers have been engaged to deal with the situation. In the areas where complete data has been reported, over 450 forces are engaged, while 3 Air Force helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft are operating from the air.

In Dajt, above the Qafë-Molla tunnels, 22 MZSH and ADZM forces are operating, supported by two helicopters. In Priskë e Madhe, 15 officers and four firefighting vehicles are engaged. According to the authorities, there is no danger to residential areas.

In Drenie, Patos, work continues to extinguish a reactivated fire. The operation has been reinforced with 30 members of the Armed Forces and an ambulance.

In Kruja, operations continue in the Abaze neighborhood, while in the Boya neighborhood, where two fires have been identified, firefighters are positioned near homes. An AF helicopter is intervening from the air to protect residential areas.

In Përmet, the intervention continues on Mount Nëmërçka and Mount Dhëmbel, without any danger to homes.

The situation appears to be more engaged in Gurë-Lurë of Dibra, where over 220 forces from emergency institutions and structures are involved, while two Air Tractor aircraft are operating from the air. Firefighting teams are positioned near homes that may be exposed to the flames.

In the Morava mountain, Devoll, the outbreak has been isolated and is being monitored. Authorities say there is no risk to residential areas.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the priority remains the protection of lives and homes, the isolation of active outbreaks, and the return of the situation to normality.
