Today, the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office has been once again occupied by citizens as part of the massive protest demanding the resignation of Edi Rama and his government cabinet. Among the many voices that have electrified the crowd was the speech of protester Arben Kola, who has issued harsh political accusations and made a direct appeal to the security forces.
Kola began his speech by clarifying the geopolitical orientation of the civic movement, emphasizing that the revolt is simply against the current government.
"We are neither against Europe nor against America, we are against the clique," Kola declared, pointing his finger at the Prime Minister's Office building.
Further, the protester made a strong contrast between government spending and the difficult conditions in which ordinary State Police officers work, calling on the latter to join the cause.
"While the prime minister spends 33 thousand euros with Ergys Agas and other criminals, the police are working under the conditions of 97-98. The conditions are cruel! That's why we, the police, are here for you in the square!" he said.
Kola sent a clear message to law enforcement not to exert violence or pressure on the younger generation, warning that their revolt could escalate if pushed beyond limits.
"Don't blackmail the youth! Because the youth is boiling! This youth is trying to drag you down and we have said no. This protest will be peaceful until the end, but even the end will have a limit!"
He called on police officers not to blindly obey their superiors, as according to him, police leaders are incriminated and exposed by foreign agencies, while he said that those who should be arrested are Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku.
"As a parent of two children, I will tell them not to follow the orders of the police chiefs. We know that most of them have been exposed in the wiretaps of Albania's international partners. We know that they have been exposed! That's why the people have no trust and don't abuse it. The only criminal who should be arrested is Edi Rama with Belinda Balluku and his ministers, Bajram Begaj and Sali Berisha," he said.
