National team striker Myrto Uzuni, who plays in MLS for Austin FC, has decided to invest in Albania, as he has purchased a hotel in the city of Vlora.
After formalizing the important investment on the Albanian coast, many have said that Uzun is laundering money. The 30-year-old's response was immediate, through a post on social media.
"I am a footballer who invests all my income in Albania. I could have invested in Spain, but I chose my country."
"My money is declared and my salary is public. I don't need to launder anyone's money."
The hotel will be called "Uzuni Hotel".
