Democratic Party MP, Enno Bozdo, invited to the show "Minuta e Parë" on News24 with journalist Ola Bruko, has publicly denounced what he called a well-thought-out corruption and money laundering scheme through the state-owned military company KAYO and its connections with Prime Minister Edi Rama's private partners.

Bozdo emphasized that the structure created by the government is a case study in avoiding accountability and legal control over public money.

According to the Democratic MP, the scheme works by initially giving the public company KAYO a complete monopoly on military infrastructure supplies in the country. KAYO then creates five subsidiary companies, including “TIMAK Defense”, where the state deliberately takes care to only hold a minority stake. This minority participation of the state is done with a clear procedural goal: to prevent the control of the Supreme State Audit Office (SSA) and public auditors over the financial activity of these entities.

At the center of this affair, Bozdo placed Israeli citizen Ron Yeffet, whom he described as a personal friend of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The MP explained that Yeffet entered this strategic business without any experience or professional passport in the arms manufacturing industry, coming "with his hands in his pockets" and without any financial guarantees or open public competition, to then knock on foreign companies such as Ukrainian ones.

In concluding his denunciation, Bozdo highlighted the deep contradictions within the government cabinet itself, where the minister declares that the company produces and exports military equipment, while the deputy minister publicly admits that nothing is produced or exported. This clash of declarations confirms, according to the opposition, that hundreds of millions of Albanian taxpayers' euros are going into a financial black hole, set up exclusively to feed the government's clientele away from the public eye.
