The Democratic Party requested a change to the agenda of the plenary session, requesting that the focus be on the situation created in the State Intelligence Service following the security measures against the director of SHISH, Vlora Hyseni.
The request was rejected by majority vote.
The result of the vote angered Democrats, who blocked the podium and threw their desks.
After the cacophony created, the Speaker of the Parliament Niko Pelshi interrupted the session.
"10 minutes break," he declared.
The DP requested the removal from the agenda of two urgent interpellations with the Minister of Environment, Sofjan Jaupaj, and the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro.
In their place, the DP requests the addition of a point entitled: "Parliamentary control and debate with Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the serious situation in the State Intelligence Service."
In his request, the group's leader Gazment Bardhi states that the Assembly should ask Prime Minister Edi Rama for explanations on the selection of Vlora Hyseni as head of SHISH, as well as on her activities while leading the institution.
