A serious incident of violence is being discussed today on the show "With an Open Heart" on News24, by moderator and author Evis Ahmeti, located in the village of Vjosë, in Fier. Father and son, Ylli and Altin Meçe, were brutally attacked by three people, one of whom is suspected of being an employee of the Fier Local Police. The 46-year-old, who had just returned from Germany for the holidays, fell victim to the barbaric violence, along with his elderly father.
Altini said from his hospital bed that it all started after comments and likes he had made on the social media page of a fellow villager. He said that he had nothing to do with the girl in question, who was married, but he had complimented her on her achievements.
"My condition is very serious. (He appears bandaged on his head). My father is 80 years old. We were brutally raped. We were raped inside the premises, at the main door of the house. At the door of the house, by several people. There were at least, because it didn't seem like much, because they turned off our lights. There were at least 3 people, because I felt their touches. They shot me so many times, cruelly, that these 3 days in the hospital, if I didn't take sedatives every two hours, I couldn't stand up. I was brutally beaten. I have signs of violence everywhere. I have bruises all over my body, but no fractures. It is believed that I was hit with a rubber bat, because they were strong. I also have a crack in my head, which could be an iron bar. I was grabbed by a person at the door and two others shot me directly. Two shot me directly. One of them spoke to me, the others laid me on the ground. I don't understand what like…after I fell to the ground unconscious. I was mentioned after 20 minutes. I returned from Germany on December 19-20. I was going to stay this week too. Since the weather in Germany is bad, and the company asked me to report to work next Monday.
It's impossible for me to go back to work. I've been in Germany for 5 years, I've been in emigration for 32 years. I've been divorced for 8 years. I have 3 grown children. In this regard, how the events came about, I had 'liked' a girl from the village. But I don't believe I committed a crime. She's about 30 years old. She's married and has her own family. She had opened an online page, did a job from home and I liked a few posts and made a comment; 'bravo, you've achieved a lot in life'. She doesn't live in our village, but her parents live here. I had no relationship with her, we were fellow villagers. I didn't have any harassment or relationship, nor did I even think about it. We had good relations with her family.
When I last met her brother, we had coffee and I've never met him again. We're from a village. I understand how he got here! Before the incident happened, he sent me a text message and said; I don't know who you're messing with. He introduced himself; I'm so-and-so. I texted him back and said; you don't have to curse and insult me. I told him; if your sister likes me and is offended, tell me. Earlier, I was at the bar drinking coffee with my brother, and then I went home. As soon as I entered and opened the big gate, I put the car inside and closed the door. After I got inside, my lights turned off. Someone called me; Altin. I came out with only my phone in my hand and I thought it was my brother. When I went out the door, the same words from the text message were repeated to me.
He curses at me and says; now you'll find out who I am. He shot me right there! The first person who approached me touched me with his hands, then the others laid me on the ground. I don't remember anything anymore. I don't know how my father got out and how they raped him. I was mentioned when the ambulance arrived. I was covered in blood. They took me, gave me an X-ray, a scanner and tranquilized me. They stitched my head up. I've been in the hospital since that day. We're in an open conflict, and I only had a policeman at the door the first day. I asked for protection, but it wasn't appreciated. Who knows what happened to that gentleman, or the others. My life is being threatened. I filed a report the moment we got to the hospital. We filed a complaint with the gentlemen who were here. I only knew that boy. I recognized him by his voice. He repeated the same words to me, which threatened me," he said.

The serious incident occurred in the father and son's apartment in the village of Vjosë. According to the information provided, the perpetrators initially cut off the electricity to the apartment and then called Altin Meçen out, who was hit with strong tools and fell in front of the house. When his father came out to see what was happening, he was also attacked, suffering serious injuries. After the violence, the perpetrators left the scene, taking with them the mobile phone of one of the injured.
The injured were urgently transported to the Fier Regional Hospital. Ylli Meçe and Altin Meçe are hospitalized in the surgery ward, in serious condition, but out of danger to their lives. The police have launched investigations to fully clarify the incident. According to the family members, the conflict is suspected to have arisen after comments and likes on social networks, where one of the suspected perpetrators turns out to be the police brother of the girl who Altin had 'liked' and commented on the social network 'Facebook'.
