Lawyer Sokol Hazizaj answered analyst Fatos Lubonja's question on the "Kjo Javë" show whether Prime Minister Edi Rama should be held liable, along with Berisha, for the issue of the alienation of land in the former "Partizani" sports complex.

Hazizaj explained that this would happen if it were proven that Berisha benefited from the properties of his son-in-law's grandfather, which did not result during the investigations.

The lawyer said that SPAK wanted to accuse Jamarbër Malltez of passive corruption, but since he is not the subject of the investigation, it linked him to the case as the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Berisha.

"The prosecution has only followed Berisha's political agenda by linking the criminal figure of passive corruption to the son-in-law, who, due to Article 75a of the Criminal Procedure Code, does not foresee such people being part of the SPAK case. What they did to take this to SPAK is take the son-in-law and take him to his father-in-law," said lawyer Sokol Hazizaj.

Sokol Hazizaj: I have said several times that the process, considering the criminal offenses for which Berisha is accused, passive corruption, the process willy-nilly without reference to evidence, has a political character.

Since it has not been proven throughout the investigation that Berisha has benefited from the properties of his son-in-law's grandfather.

If this were proven, the prosecution would undoubtedly follow the same path to prove that the former mayor, through the secretariat, had obtained any financial means to transfer to the Tirana Regional Administrative Court, and would undoubtedly arrest both defendants.

The prosecution has only followed Berisha's political agenda by linking the criminal figure of passive corruption to the son-in-law, who, due to Article 75a of the Criminal Procedure Code, does not foresee that such people be part of the SPAK case. What have they done to take this to SPAK? They have taken the son-in-law and taken him to the father-in-law.

The second part, at no point in all the evidence investigated by SPAK has it been proven that these people exchanged financial data. For bribery to work, you have to give and take.

The entire process was in 3 pillars.

Will we accept that the legal acts that emerge are the product of the constitution and collegiality? If we accept that, all doubt falls away. Secondly, will we accept whether the return of property is fair, in relation to the abuse of property.

Thirdly, in which part of Tirana the investor does not build, let's see how legal that process was.
