After Bayern Munich's impressive success on Saturday's away match against Mainz, where the Bavarians achieved another victory with a 3-4 upset, once again confirming their supremacy in this season's Bundesliga, now in the last 3 weeks in Germany only the Champions League zone will be played.

So on Sunday, Borussia Dortmund celebrated its 1000th home game with a resounding 4-0 victory over SC Freiburg, simultaneously securing qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Niko Kovac's team responded immediately after two consecutive defeats, settling the match in the opening minutes. Maximilian Beier and Serhou Guirassy scored two quick goals within 14 minutes, while Ramy Bensebaini extended the lead before the break.

In the second half, the visitors tried to react and even found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Dortmund remained in control until the end, with substitute Fabio Silva sealing the victory with a fourth goal.

This historic success also marks the 600th home win for Dortmund, while Freiburg drops to eighth place, losing ground in the race for Europe.

Meanwhile, earlier, VfB Stuttgart drew 1-1 with Werder Bremen, missing a golden opportunity to consolidate 4th place, but they still remain in the Champions League zone, with only 2 points difference from Bayer Leverkusen.

Jens Stage gave the visitors the lead in the 18th minute, while Ermedin Demirovic equalized in the second half, rescuing a valuable point for the home team.
