The investigative show Tak Fak has brought the story of citizen Andon Meta, who denounces what he describes as a long ordeal with institutions over his family's property in Kurbin.

According to the complaint, his father, Gjon Meta, had owned about 20 hectares of land through Law 7501 since 1991. But, while the family's children were in emigration, about 10 hectares of land, according to them, were occupied by Mark Ndrec Gjonaj, who later became a member of the Municipal Council of Kurbin Municipality.

The Meta family claims that they filed a complaint with the municipality about the occupation of the property in 1995. According to documents published on the show, the municipality at the time had ordered the release of the land from the occupier, but the decision was never executed.

Afterwards, according to the family's testimony, Gjon Meta faced serious health problems for years, while the property issue remained pending.

The situation took another turn in 2020, when his son, Andon Meta, returned from emigration. He claims to have found the family property turned into a landfill after the 2019 earthquake, accusing the Kurbin Municipality of violating the law.

According to his account in "Tak Fak", for five years he has been pursuing a long battle with state institutions, addressing dozens of official letters to the municipality, the prosecutor's office, the courts and other institutions to obtain information and request the return of the property.

Andon Meta says he has opened criminal, civil and administrative court proceedings and that, although the legal path remains long, he will not withdraw from the battle to reclaim the property he claims belongs to his family by law.
