The US delegation will not participate in the negotiation table with Iran in Oman, a Qatari official has announced to the American media outlet CBS.

Earlier, CBS reported that delegations from the United States and Iran had traveled to Oman on July 11 to continue talks related to regional issues, including security in the Strait of Hormuz.

However, according to sources, the American delegation will not be present at the planned meeting.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

The reasons for the absence of the American delegation have not been announced, and it remains unclear whether contacts will take place in a different format or at a later date.
