The head of the Association of the Politically Persecuted, Besim Ndregjoni, has addressed citizens with a call to join the protests currently taking place in the capital.

Ndregjoni called for the reaction of all social strata against what he considers the failure of the political class in the country.

In his speech, Ndregjoni emphasized the historical resistance of families who suffered during the dictatorship, inviting them to take to the streets again.

"To the hundreds of landowners... To the hundreds of noble families who never bowed their heads, neither to the criminal Enver Hoxha, nor to Enver Hoxha's followers during these 35 years. All in the square!"

He described the current political class as "ungrateful to the lives of Albanians" and called for greater civic engagement to change the situation in the country.
