TIRANA- The 7th National Conference on the Right to Information is being organized in Tirana.

A joint roundtable between public authorities, European partners, civil society and media organizations, for an annual balance sheet and problems that need addressing.

During his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that technology is the best opportunity to speed up the process in the case of procurement. During his speech, he said that it will give anyone the opportunity to obtain information without having to involve intermediaries.

"Technology in the case of public procurement, I wish us success. Technology will accelerate and make the process unobtrusive from the collection of documents to the authenticity and evaluation of the entire file. But in any case, anyone who wants to re-verify the process will have documents available. It is a digital process that, if the project is successful, will be in extraordinary technological innovation, for this we are working with Microsoft and other experts. So, anyone who has doubts as part of the competition process can receive the documents and see the compatibility of technological judgment with documented facts. Technology is the great blessing of the time, where precisely because we have technology we can make epochal breakthroughs. This is an element that is not seen from a half-empty perspective, but it is an epochal change, 95% of services are online and are fulfilled online without any intermediaries. So if today we are among countries much higher than we are in other things, this is because of the opportunity that technology gives us. The interaction becomes very automatic and the requests that come for information receive automatic responses. So there is no need to bring the commissioner or anyone else into the game, and for this we need to have the capacity that we do not yet have of digitization and the realisation of the moment. And here we do not enter into discussions about whether it is a secret or not. There is no reason to be dismissive, progress is happening, more is absolutely needed, and on this point we are very much in agreement", he said.
