Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo and leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement Albin Kurti has spoken to the media following the tensions that occurred earlier in the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

Kurti stated that he is seeking a political agreement to elect the President of the Republic, a process which, after failing a few months ago, paved the way for new elections.

He stated that LVV seeks a consensual president and for this reason Glauk Konjufca from his party has withdrawn his candidacy.

Meanwhile, he reiterated that new elections would not be an event to the benefit of Kosovo, after constant repetitions in the wake of the political stalemate in the country.
