Three citizens have ended up in the custody of the Border Police in Kapshtica after attempting to cross the border in violation of the law.

It is reported that the three arrested had criminal offenses such as production and sale of narcotics, crossing the border with a passport with a false stamp, and smuggling cigarette packs.

The Blues have seized the passport with a suspected forged stamp and the cigarette packs as material evidence.

Kapshtica BCP/Intensive checks by Border Police services to prevent illegal movement at the border.

As a result of the checks, the following were seized:
-1 citizen who attempted to cross the border while being wanted for the production and sale of narcotics;
-1 citizen who attempted to cross the border with a passport with a false stamp;
-1 female citizen who attempted to smuggle dozens of cartons of cigarettes.

Following the intensive work of the services of the Korça Local Directorate of Border and Migration, with the aim of preventing and combating cross-border crimes and apprehending wanted citizens, 3 citizens who were attempting to move in violation of the law were apprehended at the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point. Following the actions:

-At the exit from the Republic of Albania, citizen AT, 37 years old, resident of Peqin, was arrested and put in handcuffs, who had been declared wanted, after the Elbasan Court had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics". Other procedural actions for this citizen will be carried out by the Elbasan DVP;

-the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizens:
1-MK, 36 years old, resident of Librazhd, after upon exiting the Republic of Albania, during the verification of documentation, a suspected forged stamp was found in his passport;
2-FD, 47 years old, resident of Tirana, after at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, during a search in her bag, dozens of packs of cigarettes were found and seized, which she had not declared.

The passport with a suspected forged stamp and the cigarette packs were seized as material evidence.
