"Bankers Petroleum", the largest oil company in the country, has donated $1 million to residents affected by the catastrophic earthquake of November 26. Through a statement, Bankers emphasizes that these days have been difficult and traumatic for Albania and Albanians.
Expressing grief and condolences for the victims and damage caused by the earthquakes, Bankers announces that it will help rebuild destroyed homes.
We recall that two days ago, Bankers Petroleum showed solidarity with the affected residents, distributing aid to them and starting to collect donations.
"These days have been very difficult and traumatic for Albania and all of us who see ourselves as part of this great country. We have seen our fellow citizens shaken and homeless, searching for their loved ones, mourning the dead and searching for meaning in a tragedy that seems so blind and random.
But in these days of grief and anger, we have seen many acts of courage and kindness. We at Bankers have always seen ourselves as part of this country. We express our deepest sorrow and condolences for the victims and the severe damage caused by the earthquake.
"Surely, these trials remind us that we are often stronger than we think - with the help and support of each other. Therefore, to help with the reconstruction after the earthquake, Bankers has decided to donate 1 million USD to the Albanian government for the reconstruction after the earthquake," the announcement says.
