The death toll from coronavirus in the country is deepening, with 3 patients losing their lives over the last 24 hours, while 82 new cases have been identified.

The Ministry of Health has announced that a 63-year-old woman from Tirana, a 65-year-old man from Tirana, and a 60-year-old man from Elbasan, with several comorbidities, have lost their lives at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, despite intensive care treatment and the efforts of the medical staff.

Currently, 78 patients are hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Department, 9 of them are in intensive care, while 2 are intubated in serious condition.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to every citizen to show extra care in every environment, in the workplace or where services are provided, to respect the measures of hygiene, physical distance, avoiding contact and appeals to wear a mask, when it is not possible to maintain distance.
In the last 24 hours, unfortunately, a 63-year-old woman from Tirana, a 65-year-old man from Tirana and a 60-year-old man from Elbasan, with several concomitant diseases, have lost their lives in the infectious hospital, regardless of the treatment in intensive therapy and the efforts of the medical staff. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
Despite the recoveries, there continue to be new admissions to the infectious diseases hospital, where 78 patients are currently being treated, 9 of them are in intensive care, while 2 are intubated in serious condition.

Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours, 368 tests were carried out for suspects affected by Covid19, of which 82 positive cases were confirmed.
The geographical distribution of the cases is as follows: 30 cases in Tirana, from 6 cases in Shkodër, Kavajë, Fushë-Arrëz, 5 in Vlorë, from 4 cases in Krujë, Durrës, Lushnje, from 2 cases in Fier, Kurbin, Korçë, Berat , Dibër, Vau i Deja, and from 1 case respectively in Elbasan, Lezhë, Has, Pukë and Rrogozhinë.
The good news is that in the last 24 hours, 43 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of recoveries to 1559 since the beginning of the epidemic.
In our country, there are currently 1034 active people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodër, Durrës.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again calls on businesses to correctly implement safety protocols at work: disinfect the premises, carry out regular ventilation, use masks or protective barriers in every service entity for citizens, as defined by the protocols of health authorities.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection invites citizens not to lower their vigilance and to be careful in implementing the established measures:
Stay at a physical distance of at least 1.5 meters, wash your hands, definitely use masks or protective barriers when physical distance cannot be maintained, disinfect objects and ventilate the premises where you are.
