Activist Ilir Xhemalaj, speaking from the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that for 70 days, the square has continued to echo with calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
He also criticized the silence of international chancelleries towards the protest and called for continued resistance.
"For 70 days this square has been resounding with the call: 'Rama, resign'. This call has been heard in every chancellery in the capitals of the world, and the world is still silent. Where are they? Why aren't they talking about this revolution that is happening in Albania? Why aren't you speaking? Who has shut their mouths?!
We Albanians, in our history, have paved the way for history and we will do so. We as a people will pave the way for this system, the way to victory. Victory!”, he affirmed.
