A thriller took place this Friday morning, in Pieria, as a human body was found inside a burned-out car. The victim has not been identified, but is a man.

The Fire Department was notified of the incident at around 10:00 a.m. when it received a call about a fire in the Sfendam area. According to Pierianews, 6 firefighters with three vehicles attempted to extinguish the fire at the scene, managing to bring the fire under control.

However, during the firefighting operation, a human body was discovered inside the vehicle. Local residents report that a can of gasoline was also found inside the car.

The circumstances in which the fire broke out remain unclear at the moment, while the competent police authorities were immediately notified of the event and rushed to the scene. Investigations are underway to identify the body, while the Hellenic Police are also at the scene, with all possibilities remaining open.
