The Speaker of the Parliament and at the same time the SP candidate for the Tirana District, Elisa Spiropali, invited to "This Week" in News24 with Nisida Tufa has declared that Tirana will without a doubt be one of the districts where the SP will be the winner in the May 11 elections.

Initially, she focused on her work as a candidate for the Socialist Party and chairing and managing the affairs of the Albanian Parliament.

"It's a different dynamic during the campaign, it's intense, but it's a campaign with its own beauties. I enjoy being on the ground, talking to people. The work as Speaker of the Assembly is separate from that as a candidate, MP and politician."

"I have both duties separate, from a political fighter on the ground and in the Assembly as a deputy, to a Speaker of the Assembly where I have tried to allow the opposition equal access to parliamentary activities, not only in the session but everywhere.", she said.

Spiropali then focused on the campaign in Tirana. He said that the Socialist Party's list of candidates is a very good representative list, while he assessed that the list compiled by the DP is in fact a list that speaks only to the loyalists of this party and not to the public.

She also added that the municipality that has been transformed the most into a region is that of Kamza.

"The region will undoubtedly be the winner for the SP in these elections and the victory in Tirana is not only a good omen, but also a good foundation for victory in the country based on the number of MPs it has.

We have invested a lot of energy in developing infrastructure, Tirana today is unrecognizable compared to what it used to be, it is the essence of change on a national level.

Kamza is the municipality with the deepest and most progressive transformation in the region. From a municipality where only 35% was covered by water supply and sewage, today it is 95%. This municipality is the most positively transformed in the national ranking.

In the Tirana District, we believe that we have the best representative list. Our list has nothing to do with the DP's list, which instead of speaking to the public speaks only to the fanatical loyalists of the DP. It is not a list that reflects victory, but it is a list for managing defeat.", she said.
