Two sisters have tragically lost their lives after the vehicle they were traveling in ended up in an irrigation canal on the outskirts of the village of Delisufaj. The victims have been identified as Mirel Haskaj, 48, and Florije Xhepa, 50. It is learned that Mirel Haskaj was married and lived in Delisufaj.

According to preliminary data, the vehicle in which the two sisters were traveling was unable to cross the bridge and ended up in the irrigation canal, which was filled with water. The strong flow of water swept the vehicle under the bridge.

The two sisters were trapped inside the car and died as a result of drowning.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and made it possible to extract the bodies, which were transported to the Lushnja morgue.

Meanwhile, the investigation group continues its work to fully uncover the causes and circumstances of the tragic accident.
