The retranslation of classics was discussed during sessions held at the Book Fair. Publisher Rita Petro, in her speech, focused on the importance of publishing classics, for children and adults, and the debates that are taking place in bringing them into Albanian for the second time.

Next, Primo Shllaku, who translated Baudelaire into Albanian, argued why works translated during dictatorships should be translated again, while pointing out the times of political interventions.

For translator Granit Zela, there are often communication problems from a classical author to a contemporary one.

There are often opinions that books translated before 90, or before 45, can no longer communicate with the public due to the changed Albanian lexicon, others think that the language used at that time was richer and purer than today. The debate on translation and retranslation remains open, since the terms.
