The Democratic Party today introduced the Artificial Intelligence Department, a new structure within it that, according to leaders, aims to utilize new technologies for the functioning of the party and the preparation of the future government.

During the presentation, DP leader Sali Berisha stated that the creation of this department has two main goals: first, so that the party itself can benefit from the advantages of the era of artificial intelligence, and second, so that, according to him, in the event of coming to power, the team is prepared to apply these technologies in the administration and in the service of citizens.

Berisha emphasized that artificial intelligence and technologies such as blockchain can serve to increase transparency and fight corruption, considering Albania a country where, according to him, the need for such systems is greatest due to problems with counterfeiting and lack of transparency.

"Therefore, we are creating this department with two main goals.
First, the party itself must experience all the advantages of the era of artificial intelligence.
Secondly and most importantly, tomorrow in power, our team must be ready to implement, apply, and develop all the extraordinary advantages that artificial intelligence has.
Nothing today guarantees transparency like Blockchain.
If there is a country in Europe and the world that is horribly immersed in counterfeiting, in the most basic things, Albania has more necessities than anyone else.
There are new members in the department, who are not here, but are abroad, working with great success in Blockchain, ready to return to their country and contribute to this very valuable field.
New technology and artificial intelligence in particular are generating debate.
The truth is that the debates are not baseless, because its use based on fair, transparent rules transforms it into a useful tool, a tool that promotes social justice, promotes equality, promotes transparency in the interest of all citizens.
Without stopping then in the different fields. Its use in the field of teaching, in the field of economics, in the field of health with extraordinary diagnostic capabilities due to the availability of millions of data.
It is an extremely valuable tool.
But, again, nothing replaces human responsibility, nothing replaces human conscience, morality and dignity," he said.
