A serious incident has been recorded in Kosovo, where a 30-year-old man is suspected of killing his mother. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in the village of Restelicë, Dragash. According to police, the suspect had mental health problems. The victim is around 60 years old.

"On 21.01.2025, at around 01:06, the Police were notified of a case of suspicious death in the village of Restelicë, Dragash Municipality. According to initial information, it is suspected that a male person, around 30 years old, has deprived his mother, around 60 years old, of her life. The suspect, according to preliminary data, had mental health problems.

From the initial examination at the scene, the vehicle with which the crime was allegedly committed was not observed, while the victim suffered several injuries to the head region.

"The suspect has been arrested by the Police and detained for further legal procedures. The Regional Investigation Sector, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, is undertaking all necessary investigative actions in order to fully clarify the circumstances of this case," the police announced.
