United States President Donald Trump has issued new warnings to Iran, stating that the US military will carry out new attacks on Iranian targets in the coming hours.
In an interview with conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt, Trump said that US forces would hit Iran "very hard" and that Tehran "can do absolutely nothing to stop it."
The US president hinted that one of the possible targets is a fortified underground complex near the Natanz nuclear power plant in central Iran.
"We will destroy it. Tell the Iranians to get ready," Trump declared, adding that the US is constantly monitoring activity in that area.
"We're watching it closely. We don't see any activity there. Every time we hear about it, we blow it up. That's why they don't like to talk about it. We'll probably test the Pickaxe very soon," the US president said.
Trump also commented on the previously signed memorandum between Washington and Tehran, describing it as "proof" that, according to him, Iran did not comply.
Asked about his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said they are "very good," although he acknowledged that there have been disagreements between them on some occasions.
