US President Donald Trump has announced a change in the leadership of the White House cabinet, appointing Stephen Miller to the post of chief of staff, replacing Susie Wiles. The head of the White House announced the decision through a post on the social network Truth Social, where he praised Wiles' work and thanked her for her contribution to the administration.

Trump stressed that Wiles has done an exceptional job during her time leading the cabinet and announced that she will move to the Trump political operations structure. Meanwhile, Stephen Miller, who until now held the post of deputy chief of staff and is considered one of the president's most trusted advisors, will take up the new position on Monday, November 9, 2026.

In his post, the American president states:

"I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, currently the Trump administration's deputy chief of staff and one of my most trusted advisors, will assume the role of chief of staff effective Monday, November 9, 2026.

Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will move into the political operations structure.

"I want to thank her for her service as chief of staff. She has done an excellent job!"

Stephen Miller is one of the most important figures in Donald Trump's inner circle. He is considered the architect of the president's immigration policy and was a senior advisor during his first term in the White House. Trump's trust in him is also confirmed by the president's own statement, which described Miller as one of his most trusted associates.

Meanwhile, Susie Wiles, 69, is considered one of the most influential figures in the US administration and one of Trump's closest people. In her response, she described serving on the president's team as the honor of her life, expressing pride in the joint achievements, from border security and tax cuts to strengthening the economy and implementing the "America First" policy.
