The Artemis II astronauts have returned to Earth, but for them the adventure doesn't end there. So far, there have been no public statements from the crew since their exit from the Orion capsule, and it may be some time before they speak.

Staying in space has been physically tiring for the four astronauts, so they will undergo detailed medical checkups to assess their health after the mission.

After this phase, the priority will be reunification with their families, a long-awaited moment after a long and challenging journey.

NASA officials have announced that the astronauts are expected to return to Mission Control in Houston on Saturday, local time.

Next on their agenda is a visit to the White House and the possibility of participating in other missions to the Moon in the future.
