Saimir Taullau is the 47-year-old who was injured this afternoon in Lushnje after several gunshots.
"In the place called "Plygut's Roundabout", a gunshot was fired towards the bar of citizen ST, 47 years old, resident of Lushnje," the police announced.
As a result, the citizen was slightly injured and is currently in Lushnja Hospital under the care of doctors, but his life is out of danger.
The investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully investigate the incident and identify the perpetrators.
Numerous checkpoints have been set up at the city's entrances and exits with the aim of apprehending suspected perpetrators.
Taullau previously had his brother killed in 2005 after Aldo Bare's gangs fined him.
"We had bought a piece of land in Tirana and the gang demanded money or the land. My brother reported the gang to the police and SHIK and they threatened to kill him," Taullau said in an interview some time ago.
Evidence of the 2005 event
"On election day in July 2005, when my brother and I went out to the city center to follow the election results, we noticed that we were being followed by Leonard Prifti and another blond person in a hat.
The person with the hat let himself be killed by me and I ran away while Leonard Prifti followed his brother and killed him", said Sajmir Taullau. He then added: his family did not owe him and does not owe him anything in the city of Lushnja or in Tirana, they are only indebted to the family", he said regarding the murder of his brother.
In this case, Baki Taullai's third brother did not hesitate to point the finger at the members of the Lushnja gang, holding the latter responsible for the murder of his brother and for the fines paid by the latter to the gang members.
fines
"From 1993 to 1997, I was in prison, after being convicted, and when the prisons were opened, I, like many others, escaped from prison and went to Italy. I stayed there until the beginning of 2000, at which time I came after my brother was being regularly threatened by Alfred Shkurti's "gang."
The members of his "gang", Ilir Stërgu, Arben Boriçi, Enver Dondollaku, Arjan Aliçko, and Leonard Prifti (the latter murdered), would make up different stories just to get money from my brother Baki Taullai, who had a business.
Initially they asked me to join their “gang”, but then since I did not join, they accused me of being part of Artur Daja’s “gang” and trying to get revenge on them. I last met Artur Daja when I was 17 years old and before I went to prison and I have not seen him since then.
After I returned to Albania, brother Bakiu told me: you did not do well to come. For this reason, he issued me a visa and I fled to Greece where I stayed for several months. During this time, I learned that Bakiu was forced to pay fines several times to Alfred Shkurti's "gang" after they threatened him for my life and that of the other brothers.
As far as I know, my brother has paid several times the "fines" imposed by Alfred Shkurti, Enver Dondollaku, Ilir Stërgu, Arben Boriçi, Arjan Aliçko, Leonard Prifti, etc. As my brother told me, he had first paid 6 million lekë, which Eduart Demiri and Ilir Stërgu had received on behalf of Alfred Shkurti. Then another 10 million old lekë were paid to Enver Dondollaku and 6 thousand euros to his sister.
I personally, together with Eduart Demir, paid Alfred Shkurti's brother, Zyber, 6 million old lekë which brother Bakiu gave me to give to him after Alfred Shkurti had imposed a "fine". This story continued even longer, where in cases when brother Bakiu refused to pay, they took revenge on his business and threatened family members.
In 2002, after the brother refused to pay 5 million lek, the "gang" planted TNT in the apartment of the other brother, Albert Taullau, who was injured. During this time, I was drinking a coffee in a bar when a citizen named Genti Turku came and asked me to drink a coffee.
I accepted and went, when they sent me to the cemetery, Leonard Prifti came out with a pistol in his hand. They told me to ask for Enverd Dondollaku, and Prifti came out. The latter asked me to take my brother and go because Alfred Shkurti was looking for us at the cemetery.
I went home and told my brother Bakiu not to let it out that the "gang" was looking for him to kill him. The latter had found out that my brother had bought a plot of land in Tirana and were asking him to pay either 500 thousand euros or the land papers.
After this “fine” my brother refused to pay it and go to meet Alfred Shkurti. They, the members of the “gang”, threatened to kill him. For this reason, we were then on guard and did not go out. My brother reported them to the director of SHISH, Xhevdet Zeqe.
He addressed them to the Anti-Terrorist Police Department of Fier and Tirana, where the brother gave detailed testimony denouncing all the members of the “gang” and the fines imposed on our family. After this denunciation, carried out by the brother, the “gang” found out and threatened again that they would kill him.
