Volodymyr Zelensky has asked Turkey to help organize a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an attempt to revive the peace process between the two conflicting countries. The statement was made by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, who said that Kiev has contacted not only Ankara, but also several other capitals, seeking a neutral venue for talks.

According to him, Ukraine is ready to participate in any meeting that is not organized in Russia or Belarus, which Kiev considers a close ally of Moscow and the starting point of the invasion in 2022.

Ukrainian officials say the aim is to create a new dialogue platform, with Turkey as one of the main options for mediation, due to its previous role in talks between the parties. However, there has been no official response from Ankara to this proposal yet, and no concrete date for a possible meeting.

On the other hand, the Kremlin has previously stated that it is ready to organize a meeting in Moscow, an option that Ukraine has categorically ruled out. Kiev continues to emphasize that a direct meeting between the two leaders is necessary to accelerate the end of the war, which has been going on for four years since its beginning.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are also continuing behind the scenes, with contacts between Ukrainian officials and international partners to find a neutral location and a format acceptable to both sides.
