Prime Minister Edi Rama presented today at a conference on Public Procurement a new digital system based on artificial intelligence, which according to him will radically change the way tenders are conducted in the country.

Rama announced that the project aims to automate important parts of the procurement process, eliminating manual intervention by officials and increasing transparency. According to him, the new system will bring a complete transformation of the public procurement process, where businesses will no longer need to submit multiple documents and processes will not depend on individual decision-making by officials.

Rama also emphasized that over 40 public registries are already digitalized and will be integrated into the system, enabling quick access and a more simplified process for companies.
He added that the project is unique in its kind and aims to set new standards in public procurement administration, significantly reducing the scope for abuse and human intervention.

"We tried to make the overview as concise as possible. One piece of data, for example, that is an important indicator of transformation, is the increase in the number of winning companies in relation to the number of procedures. There is much more access to public contracts, which contradicts the narrative of everyday media life.
It is a narrative imposed by a stable majority of sources that are openly against the government. It is a positive indicator. But it is a beautiful anomaly from my point of view and that part of the 'captured media' falls. An opinion may have been created as if Diella is doing the work it has done before and sleeping, in fact it is not. We are in a new phase of the process as 450 pages of detailed technical specifications have been drafted during this entire period, which have been worked on by competent local experts. These pages were then put under the review of the World Bank, which gave the green light a few days ago, for the uncontested certification of every project in which it participates for financing. Now we are ready to move on to building a completely unique public procurement system with artificial intelligence. This is the first project of its kind and enables procurement with artificial intelligence with a large extent of the process. It will make it possible for no business to be forced to collect papers anymore. "No employee will be able to play with business cards anymore, but the data will be collected by Diella himself. Over 40 public registers have been digitized and will then be in the hands of the business to be activated with a 'click'," he said.
