On the eve of the end-of-year holidays, the last houses are ready to welcome families affected by the 2019 earthquake.

The Mayor of Tirana, together with the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, inaugurated today the new houses in Baldushk.

Mayor Veliaj said: "It had never happened before that a government, especially in a country like ours, with modest incomes, said: What was damaged by the earthquake, we will compensate 100% bigger, more beautiful and stronger, including all the infrastructure, schools, kindergartens, nurseries, but above all the homes of the people who were treacherously hit by the earthquake. But I believe in the most generous way, with an initiative unheard of before, we managed to cover the majority of needs in 3 years and today with 60 villas, individual houses and a complex with 3 parallel streets with 29 villas that we have here, it finally closed the drama of the earthquake in the entire Baldushk area.
The coincidence is actually very beautiful because today we close the house's troubles, tomorrow the party begins because we open the Baldushku market, with Baldushku's turkeys that are clearly the best in the country."

Veliaj also focused on the collapse of the damaged building on "Myslym Keta" street, emphasizing that the lies of those who give advice from the Lalzi villas should not be believed and that the truth is that 6 of the last 14 families have agreed and are being settled in the new houses.

"I cannot sit on a day like today, when we were all woken up by rumors, fake news and collective hysteria, without explaining what happened today in Tirana. We had a building in Tirana, out of 500 buildings that were damaged, that we intervened in, with many residents who have already moved into the "May 5" neighborhood, who chose, as has often happened, to believe a big lie. That the government will do it gradually. Gradually in Tufina, imagine. That there is a big conspiracy theory here, when the party groups-sections enter that take people's minds, in fact the only ones who are damaged are not the parties, they have solved their problems, they all have villas in Lals.
