The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has decided to lift, as of October 5, restrictions on Russian athletes and officials, restoring to them the right to represent the country with the national flag and symbols.

The decision follows recommendations from the International Olympic Committee and a change in stance on the participation of Russian athletes in the international arena. Russia and Belarus had been excluded from FEI activities since March 2022, following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.

Russian athletes will have to meet all anti-doping criteria and rules, while the International Testing Agency will draw up a special testing plan.
