A Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bomber has crashed during a training flight in the Irkutsk region of Siberia, the Russian Defense Ministry said, according to the Interfax news agency. According to Russian authorities, all crew members managed to eject before the plane crashed and survived the incident.

Unverified footage posted on social media shows a plane losing altitude and crashing into a wooded area near the banks of the Angara River. After the crash, a large cloud of smoke can be seen rising from the scene.

The Defense Ministry has not yet provided details on the causes of the crash, while investigations are expected to determine the circumstances of the incident. The Tu-22M3 is one of the Russian Air Force's long-range strategic bombers and is used for attack and training missions.
