Spanish police have discovered a large underground tunnel. It turned out that it was equipped with rails and wagons used to transport packages of cannabis between Morocco and Spain, in Ceuta.
The investigation lasted more than a year, and resulted in the discovery of 'a labyrinth resembling a mine.' According to the Spanish Interior Ministry, it is suspected that this group supplied not only Spain but also Europe.
At least 27 people were arrested and more than 17 tons of drugs were seized during the operation.
The tunnel had three levels: a shaft for descent, an intermediate room for storing packages, and a straight corridor leading to Morocco.”
The entire structure was equipped with rails, wagons, rollers and small cranes for transporting pallets of cannabis and was 'buried' under an industrial warehouse.
