Unlike the first 14 protests, yesterday's protest did not end at "Skënderbej" Square, but protesters marched for hours towards Rinas.
The revolt against Prime Minister Edi Rama escalated with protesters marching along the Tirana-Durres highway, after covering kilometers from the Boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office, 'Skënderbej' Square, 'Rruga e Durrës' and reaching the former 'Shqiponja' Square and 'Kthesa e Kamzës'.
Then hundreds of thousands of protesters continued towards the Tirana-Durrës highway, surprising quite a few with this surprising move on their part.
At around 00:26, after midnight, the protesters arrived at the Rinas overpass. The march then continued towards the Rinas airport.
At 02:00, police blocked the march of protesters near the airport. Citizens, who were shouting "The police are with us", avoided clashes with the police and ended the marathon protest at around 02:40.
The 15th consecutive protest for the removal of Edi Rama ended after about 9 hours, another record set by citizens since the revolt began. This is the longest protest ever held in history. A full 5 hours were just a walking march and 3 hours of speeches in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
